Fog or What Breakfast Run (Nov 4)
A very foggy
day as Richard and Simon headed off into mid Wales. The fog was so bad that
we curtailed our plans to go to Wye Knot and ended up a Queenswood. But
where was everyone else?

Electric Run (Oct 14)
A wonderful
day of riding in North and Mid Wales was
enjoyed by a fairly small group of us as we
all searched for Anthony who was so looking
forward to our Electric Mountain Run. Eight
of started off from Wylie's on a grey
morning and it didn't take long for us to
lose the Fireblade and Suzuki who had tagged
along (and that was on a dual
carriageway.....). Terry dropped of soon
after with a bout of something really
horrible so we soldiered on with five of us
to the Electric Mountain.
After a
fascinating insight into the power
generation there we had a good 3 hour ride
around Wales and then back home. MIleage was
around 225 miles and despite the odd spot of
drizzle we all agreed it was an excellent
day out.
Attendees were:-
Terry, Richard, Simon, Les, Peter and Gary.

Absent Friends Run (Sep 16)
A few absent
friends as we headed into Derbyshire for Terry's September jaunt. A bumper
turn out of 12 bikes saw us enjoy late September sunshine. The day enjoyed a
new breakfast stop at Spencer's Bakers in Ashbourne. Breakfast was enjoyed
at Ashbourne then it was a short ride to Matlock for a wander round then
Macclesfield and past the Cat and Fiddle to Congleton Newcastle and Market
Drayton. Good weather and on the whole fairly light traffic.
Total mileage
around 150 and attendees were:-
Terry + sons john and rob and a mate, Peter, Peter, Les, Anthony, Brian,
Rob, Gary and Simon.

Rain What Rain? (Sep 2)
A dry
run in Wales as went to Crossgates in mid
Wales. Old member Chris turned up on his
Scrambler and managed to arrive before us...
Richard and Peter started in front but
somehow finished well behind by the time we
arrived at Crossgates. Hare, tortoise?
Attendees
were: Richard, Peter and Chris and total
mileage was around 110 miles

Rain Stops Play Run (Aug 19)
A mysterious route to the Electric Mountain in
Snowdonia saw us take in the delights of Bromyard for breakfast. As we
sought to dodge the rain it was decided to go South. We
failed...............
Attendees were: Richard, Les, Michael & Alison, Anthony, Peter, Brian and
Rob.
Total mileage was around 135 miles

Derbyshire And Back Breakfast Run (Aug 10)
Only
5 of us but a good run out to Buxton where an excellent value breakfast was
enjoyed whilst we watched the rain pour down. Perfect timing for us as it
only rined during breakfast!
Attendees were: Richard, Simon, Anthony, Peter and Terry.
Total mileage was around 135 miles

Richard's
Ghostly Experience Breakfast Run (July 08)
A ghost of RAT Runs past appeared as Geoff Mk1 turned up to bring us
good luck on a glorious sunny and hot day in Telford. Yes it bucketed down,
was bloody cold and skies were miserable as soon as Geoff got to work with
his lucky charms. How it rained in Wales only on us whilst the rest of the
region basked in sunny weather only Geoff can know!
Still we had 9 enthusiastic riders as we went
to the closed cafe at Lake Vyrnwy How everyone rejoiced as Richard took them
over the mountain into torrential rain and sheep so we could get to Dinas
Mawddwy for a very good breakfast at Caffi Carys.
Attendees were: Richard, Andrew, Les, Simon,
Brian, Gary, Anthony, Geoff Mk1, Brian's mate.
Total mileage was around135 miles

Anthony's Blue Skies Run (June 17)
Blue
Skies in Wales as Anthony showed us the way through the gorgeous hills of
Wales. Records tumbled throughout the day as first we had a 'retiree' as
Graham dropped out after hinting that his top up from a petrol can may not
have been petrol. Er...... lessons and Richard spring to mind. Then long
distance stalwart Peter turned around at the breakfast stop claiming that
his stitched up hands needed looking after (we've all offered to operate on
his other hand). On the way home Richard managed 191.2 miles before his
reserve light came on which means nearly 60 MPG.
Attendees were: Richard, Graham, Les, Michael,
Brian, Rob (Dayona), Anthony, Peter and Graham's mate.
Total mileage was 198 miles.

The Hairdrier Run (May 20)
A nice day out to Bourton-On-The-Water saw us
arrive just in time to catch a parade of about 1,000 hairdriers down the
high street.
After a good breakfast at Queenswood we made
our way to a fascinating museum at Bourton which had a mixture of bikes and
cars. Then a relaxing lunch to watch the mass of scooters go past. In all
their glory the Vespas, Lambrettas and more sped down the road and were only
overtaken by a couple of cyclists and an elderly man out jogging......
The weather stayed dry and we had Fish Hill on
the way back, what more could you want?
Attendees were: Richard, Peter, Gary, Peter 2,
Andrew, Dodgy Dave and Brian.
Total mileage was 175 miles.

Breakfast Run
To Wye KNot Stop Cafe (May 6)
 Paula's
40th birthday saw us go to the Wye KNot Stop cafe in mid Wales on the A470.
Good weather saw us take a nice journey down some quiet roads to a new
breakfast venue. A turnout of 8 bikes was good and despite the clouds it
remained dry.
Paula's dad came along and he tried so hard to
win our rider of the month award as he left the cafe without his keys.
Attendees were: Richard, Peter, Paula, Les,
Peter senior, Graham, Andrew and who?

75th
Anniversary Run To Dublin (April 14/15 2007)
The weather was outstanding as few of us
headed for the city of Dublin. Staying at the Roxford Lodge we were
conveniently placed for the city centre. After an open top bus tour, which
included a trip to the Gunness factory, we headed off to the Thunder Road
cafe and a few pints of Guinness - what else.
Attendees were: Richard, Peter, Paula, Dave
and Nicky and ..........
Mileage......... about 280

Breakfast Run
To Queenswood Country Park (April 8 2007)
More sunny weather as we disappeared down to
Herefordshire.
Attendees were:
Richard, Peter, and let me
know who else.....

Paula's Virgin Run (March 18 2007)
Another good turn out with 9 (or was it 10)
bikes and the weather was fairly dry. Despite it being absolutely bitter we
didn't mind, or did we....... A hearty breakfast in Welshpool saw a
fantastic sleet storm which made us feel so good! Then off we went to mid
Wales. A stop at Dolgellau saw us remain dry and from then it was just like
summer with temperatures hovering above the freezing level. An effortless
journey over the mountains to Lake Vyrnwy.
After lunch we managed to lose Terry but then
it was back home and the warmth of home.
But where was Paula on her Virgin Run. Once a
virgin always a virgin!
Attendees were:
Richard, Doug's mate, Peter, Anthony,
Brian, Terry, Rob, Les, Dodgy Dave and was there someone else.
Total mileage was 180 miles.

The I Am Sailing Run (February 18 2007)
What a fantastic turn out as 11 bikes went to
the Ponderosa for breakfast. The weather was kind to us as we set off and
Simon was so excited by our first run that he arrived 30 minutes early.
Although the temperature dropped as we headed
towards the Horseshoe Pass the thought of a Ponderosa breakfast kept us
going and we were not disappointed. After refreshment we split into two
groups with one going to the boat Museum at Ellesmere Port and the other
going home. The boat museum was a revelation and after a leisurely boat
cruise we enjoyed a variety of displays and interactive presentations. The
most important thing about the trip, though, was that Dodgy Dave gave us all
a 2 for 1 voucher that saved us on the admission price. Well done to Dave.
Attendees were:
Richard, Doug, Peter, Anthony, Andrew,
Brian, Graham, Simon, Dave and 2 BMW's.
Total mileage was 160 miles.
