RIDER OF THE
YEAR 2003
After much discussion we have a winner
for our very first Rider of the Year Award.
Here are the clues
1. He is a stalwart of most of our
runs
2. He often arrives on a Sunday with an empty tank
3. He went topless to improve the girls in a pub in April
4. He tried coming with us to France without a passport

 RIDER OF THE
MONTH TROPHY - OCTOBER - GRAHAM TYRER
Here we have first time winner
Graham Tyrer. Young Graham came with us to Gloucester docks and enjoyed a
hearty lunch at the excellent cafe in the Waterways Museum. The problem,
though, was that the museum had too many nice looking ladies serving the
food and Graham was so besotted that he left after lunch in a day dream.
This meant that when we got back to the bikes he had to go back and get his
keys from the table (not witnessed I might hastened to add) - or was it to
get one last glimpse ....................

 RIDER OF THE
MONTH TROPHY - SEPTEMBER - YVONNE SLOW
The award for September
goes to Yvonne Slow who once again managed to avoid being photographed in
our photos. For those who have not yet seen Yvonne in a photo here is a
reminder.

 RIDER OF THE
MONTH TROPHY - JULY - LES SLOW
The award for July goes to
Les Slow. I know that the run was to 'The Museum of Lost Content', but that
does not include money. Les seemed to have included his money in the Lost
Content theme and had to borrow money from Geoff. Well done
Les................

 RIDER OF THE
MONTH TROPHY - JUNE - MICHAEL BURKE
The award for June goes to
run organiser Michael Burke. Michael meticulously organised the run to the
Judges' Lodgings at Presteigne only to tell us he was not going in when he
arrived. Michael obviously has a very 'hidden' past that meant he could not
go anywhere near the court house or cells. Any information would be
gratefully received by Richard on this subject.

RIDER OF THE
MONTH TROPHY - MAY - SIMON TRANTER
The award for May goes to Simon Tranter.
Simon has yet to make one of our runs in 2003 and did not go on the May run
BUT............. he did turn up after everyone had left to pretend that he
was going to go on this one. Well done Simon for the valiant attempt to join
us on one of our runs.

 RIDER OF THE
MONTH TROPHY - APRIL - TONY ERRINGTON
The award for April goes, once again, to Tony for
extremely valiant attempts to avoid us all on the Run Out Of Steam Run.
Despite deliberately not going to any of our meeting places, and then trying
to avoid us in the Cotswolds his plan failed. He mistakenly came across us
by going to one of the places that we had actually agreed to go to - the
railway museum.
Better luck next time Tony!

 RIDER OF THE
MONTH TROPHY - MARCH - TONY ERRINGTON
The award for March goes to Tony for his
wife following him to our breakfast stop to make sure that he was behaving
himself. Congratulations to Tony who is pictured here with his mug.
Unfortunately he couldn't actually drink out of it because it still had
Geoff's warm lips on the outside!!!!

 RIDER OF THE
MONTH TROPHY - FEBRUARY - GEOFF GLOVER
The award for February goes to stalwart
Geoff who despite years of experience made us all stop for petrol after only
4 or 5 miles. Well done Geoff for breaking one of our cardinal rules.
